Honoring the heritage
Coming back to the island that meant so much to his ancestor and war hero K. Kanaris, Dimitri wanted to celebrate his union to Rebekka in picturesque Hydra. Rebekka, a Norwegian Jew herself, followed happily the demanding Greek traditions, while her love agreed to have a partially Jewish ceremony. To make the story short, this wedding had it all: the bride arrived to the wedding on a horse, the ceremony took place also in sign language, the feast by the sea was filled with laughter of all the speeches that beloved family members and friends delivered, and the island's harbor got lit up of the lantern parade up to the party venue where everybody danced till early morning.
